This is a monthly event, inviting various schools to share teaching strategies and challenges when using technology in the classroom. The  hope is to continue to build a community of technology leaders to help launch projects in Korea.

 

This month's activity is a communication with students & parents. Come ready to share the blog, podcast, app, or whatever tool you use to communicate with your students or parents.

 

Although we are meeting at Apple, various schools are represented and expertise shared. You do not have to know about Apple products to attend this event. The name of the event is a creative way to say that we are @ or "at" Apple but it's an informal yet structured "meetup."

@pple Meetup Mar. 2 - Camera Share

This month's activity is a camera share. Bring your favorite camera or camcorder that you use at work or for pleasure, tell us why you like it, and let us know how to purchase one.

 

My go to camera this past year has been the Sanyo Xacti Dual Cam. Now they even make a waterproof model.

@pple Meetup Nov. 18 - Robotics

This is an invitation to the 7th @pple Meetup on Friday, November 18 from 5-7pm at Apple Korea Headquarters.

This is a monthly event, inviting various schools to share teaching strategies and challenges when using technology in the classroom. The hope is to continue to build a community of technology leaders to help launch projects in Korea.

 

This month's focus is robotics in the classroom. We are very fortunate to have two of our regular Meetup participants sharing the great work they are doing at their respective schools. Carol LeMieux, from Asia Pacific International School, will explain the basics of the First Lego League, and demonstrate the problem solving and critical thinking that goes on in designing and programming a robot. Gary Donahue, from Chadwick International School, will share his experience integrating robotics into the core curriculum, and demonstrate some of the projects he has been involved in.
